Racing Pop Cans with Static Electricity (PEOE)

Lesson Overview: Students will investigate, through inquiry, the law of charges with reference to common electrostatic phenomena!

Students will learn about charging by friction when they negatively charge a balloon with fur, charging by induction when they bring the balloon close to the pop can, and the relationship between charging and the speed of the pop can.
