MS. BAKKER'S CLASSROOM

I am an educator that has a passion for life-long learning! I promote a growth mindset and I enjoy trying new pedagogical techniques, especially those that involve collaboration and STEAM!

I am a Level 1 Google Certified Educator and have completed my Master of Professional Education in the field of Curriculum and Pedagogy. I earned my Bachelor of Education in the Intermediate Senior program at Western University with teachable subjects of biology and history, and a specialization in the STEM disciplines. I completed my undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree at Wilfrid Laurier University with a double major in biology and psychology and a minor in history. 

 

I feel that teaching is not only a profession but a vocation. I am passionate about helping each learner realize and achieve their full potential. Teaching allows me to share my passion for learning, be a positive role model, and help each learner achieve their “ah-ha” moment.
