Roaring Twenties & The Canadian Identity

Lesson Overview: This lesson will begin with students individually creating a mind map on Canada's identity. The teacher and the entire class will create a large mind map on the board and brainstorm what is associated with Canada's Identity. Students will then learn about Canada's booming economy in the 1920's via PowerPoint presentation and take notes with a worksheet that is partially completed. For the rest of the period, students will work in pairs to research, draw connections and present a topic associated with Canada's identity in the 1920's and how it impacted Canada's future.
